In a time when global economic stability is shaky, tensions and suspicions divide the human community and there is much upheaval and uncertainty in the world,
the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is more relevant and needed than ever. Philadelphia Evangelical Lutheran Church remains a congregation grounded in God’s steadfast love that endures forever made visible in Jesus Christ. In response to God’s Love, Philadelphia seeks to be thankful for God’s faithfulness in the past, faithful in Christ’s call to ministry in the present and hopeful in God’s Promise to be with us into God’s future.
HOMECOMING was a time for members, families, former members, relatives, neighbors, distant friends and the hundreds of people whose lives have been touched by the ministry of Philadelphia Evangelical Lutheran Church over the past 243 years, to gather in worship and thanksgiving for God’s grace that has sustained Philadelphia Lutheran Church in ministry over these years. The day included special music, great fellowship and a delicious covered dish, picnic dinner.
